Where Two or More Are Gathered

October 27th, 2006

This is my first post on this blog. I do have another blog at Homeschoolblogger.com and have been contemplating for some time now to start another blog. My homeschool blog has diverged somewhat from homeschool topics to just about anything goes! So, in an attempt to separate homeschool topics and other topics, I am beginning this blog.

Now, the question remains….what will I write about here? As I have thought about this, I realize that when some people begin their blogs, they indicate a need to be able to express their ideas, not for anyone in particular to read, just for their own satisfaction of writing down their thoughts. I don’t want that to be the purpose of this blog. I want to be able to encourage others in this journey called life and I can’t really do that if I am only writing for myself. So, my purpose is to write about subjects that will encourage others in their walk with God.

What does that mean…to encourage? Does it mean that I will write about topics that will give you warm fuzzies? Not always. There will be topics that may be difficult to talk about, but I believe, as we discuss the topics according to God’s word and the Holy Spirit’s leading, we will be able to encourage one another to a more in-depth relationship with each other and with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I also seek to obtain a more simple form of, well, everything…church, health, relationships, lifestyle, education, etc. Maintaining a balance of simplicity is just that, a balancing act. I am purposefully seeking ways to achieve that balance in my life and I hope to share some of my thoughts and questions on that subject as well.

So, I pray that you will not only be encouraged by the words that are spoken here, but also will enjoy the freedom of speaking your heart’s cry and allowing others to gain insight from your words. In the process, I’m sure we all will receive from and give to each other in the love of Christ.

Living Daily in the Love of Christ,

I like it I like it…..of course I really like the buffalo story….how can I not? I’m looking forward to encouragement in simplicity….cuz I want it all. And that is NOT very simple.

Practicing His Presence– hehe, I didn’t think of that at the time of writing the post but I’m glad you liked it :)
I think we all tend to lean toward wanting more, just because we’re so saturated with this desire in our culture. I want to be at a place of wanting and being satisfied with less. I look forward to more discussion with you!
